Global Business Series: Successful Cross Cultural Negotiation

Based on the 6D Model of Prof. Geert Hofstede, Salvador Apud will explain how the key components of a negotiation process are affected by the cultural background of the negotiators.

In today’s globalized business environment, it is common to find ourselves negotiating or executing business deals with partners from different cultural backgrounds.

Cultural misunderstandings can negatively impact a company’s bottom line.  Examples of blunders resulting in lost business are on the rise.

Attendees will learn how to properly prepare for a successful cross cultural negotiation.

As a practical example, Salvador will apply this framework, to a case where US and Mexican negotiators are involved.

The Q&A session will allow participants to expand the application to other cultural backgrounds.

This is a brown bag lunch and learn series.  PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR LUNCH.
