WAC Austin exists to serve Austinites of all ages and backgrounds who are interested in the world at large. Our mission is to provide those individuals with top-quality programming and events, as well as create conduits for interaction with international experts and decision-makers.

 The World Affairs Councils of America

The World Affairs Councils of America is the largest non-partisan, non-profit, grassroots organization in the United States dedicated to educating and engaging the American public on global issues. Each year, over 500,000 members and other event attendees benefit from World Affairs Councils’ programming.

Six Top Issues

The World Affairs Councils of America conducts a yearly survey asking the World Affairs Councils regional leadership to select the Six Top Issues for the president in the coming year. The annual National Conference in November launches the National Network discussion of the Six Top Issues and frames the yearly national programming.
