Southeast Asia and Trans-Pacific Partnership Briefing

In collaboration with the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Greater Austin Asian Chamber of Commerce, the World Affairs Council of Austin is pleased to host a visit by Margaret Hanson-Muse, the Minister Counselor for Commercial Affairs for ASEAN.  Ms. Hanson-Muse will discuss doing business in the ten Southeast Asian countries. Ms. Hanson-Muse will cover profiles of the ten nations and discuss the top markets and best prospects for U.S. firms. Learn how to successfully enter or grow your presence in these markets and discover how the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement can improve market access for you.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is an alliance of ten countries with rich business environments:  Brunei, Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar (Burma), Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. These countries have 630 million social media savvy consumers. ASEAN welcomes U.S. companies and provides a wide range of opportunities plus the chance to tap the rapidly developing digital economy.

A limited number of one-on-one meetings with Ms. Hanson-Muse is available to seminar participants.  Once you register for the seminar, you may request a private meeting before the presentation by contacting Karen Parker
