The U.S. Embassy in Japan has invited alumni of the U.S. Department of State programs to apply and participate in a unique 6-day virtual event discussing Japan-U.S. relations and encouraging Japanese students to return to U.S. institutions of education. The delegation, composed of members from education and business sectors, will “visit” three cities during the program: Washington D.C., Austin, and Boston.
Beginning at 4pm on Saturday, March 6th, GlobalAustin, along with the World Affairs Council of Austin, is hosting a networking event to connect area Texans to members of the Japanese delegation. This 90 minute event will provide an opportunity for local residents to bridge communications between Japan and the U.S., fostering and cultivating global relationships and applying international skills to engaging local communities.
