A Conversation with Lawrence Wright

Join your fellow World Affairs Council of Austin members for a conversation with Lawrence Wright, author, screenwriter, and playwright.

Mr. Wright received the Pulitzer Prize for this book, “The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11.” With a degree from American University in Cairo, he has spent time living and reporting on the Middle East. His latest book, “The Human Scale,” released in 2025, set in Israel, the West Bank, and Gaza. Publisher’s Weekly calls it a “superb thriller from Pulitzer winner Wright…an uncomfortable and unforgettable plunge into the heart of a devastating conflict.”

Mr. Wright will discuss and provide insights on the current social, economic, and political scene in the Middle East.

This event is by invitation-only. Please notify us of your interest to receive an invitation by providing your contact information in the form below.
