Whether it’s music, food, a religious, or a cultural festival, we all have been to at least one of them. From Diwali, which is celebrated in India, to Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) which is celebrated in Mexico, to the Gion Matsuri celebrated in Japan, there are hundreds of festivals around the globe. St. Patrick’s Day, which is coming up in March, is also another festival that is celebrated in Ireland.
Thousands of traditions continue evolving as our society grows, but the celebrations, the joy, and the laughter always remind us of the bond we share. What is your favorite memory of a festival you’ve attended? Were you surprised or shocked by any specific aspect of it? How did it change your perception of that culture and/or country?
