We will be meeting in person at the 5820 Burger and Taphouse. This month’s topic is:
China: What’s next?
What will be China’s role in the global economy and geopolitics in general, over the next decades? There is the South China Sea and the potential for conflict over Taiwan. But there is also “soft power” global influence. For example, through the Belt and Road initiatives, from the “Stans” to South Asia, Africa, and even South America. Of course, there is also China’s relationship with Russia and Putin. And finally, China has its own internal issues with the implications of the demographics they will be facing in the future.
This topic will be a follow-up discussion to the presentation by David Firestein on August 16th. We hope you will attend both events.
Please join us for what will be a very interesting discussion.
