Climate and Global Change: What to Expect and How to Build Resilient Infrastructure and Lives Throughout the World.
Climate and weather extremes have been called an “existential threat” to life as we know it. What can we expect as the associated extreme weather and changing weather patterns threaten infrastructure and lives throughout the world? What opportunities might exist for the role of transnational organizations such as the UN to address this crisis? Finally, what about the EU, China, India, the US, and their leadership roles? Prof. Dev Niyogi will present a program on what we, and the world, can expect in the decades ahead, and possible options for our response.
