Each year, Academic WorldQuest seeks to inform and engage high school teens and their teachers across the country in global affairs. More than 4,000 students participate and test their knowledge of international affairs, global current event issues, and foreign policy. The winning high school teams at each local competition is invited to participate at the national contest in Washington DC. Our competition consists of 10 rounds of 10 questions about specific global themes.
Schools can register teams of 4 students in grades 9 – 12, however; the contest is especially relevant to students in World Geography, AP Human Geography and Economics.
Our competition is scheduled for Saturday, February 27th at Harmony School of Political Science.
AWQ is a terrific opportunity to engage your students in global affairs and compete against fellow high school students in the area. We have had great success and participation in this event in past years and want to make it even bigger this year!
