Lamar.  \n\nThe topic for May will be: Ukraine: What next? \n“The Putin era is dead.” At least according to John Huntsman\, the former U.S. Ambassador to Russia\, 2017 — 2019. \nBut is it? Will Putin survive even once the “body bags” start coming home to small towns and villages across Russia or once the sanctions start impacting ordinary Russians? \nHow will the war impact both the EU and NATO? There is now the possibility of new members on Russia’s border. While our European allies are showing a strong united front for now\, with supplies and even ammunition\, what about in the future as winter approaches without access to Russian gas? \nWhat is the message to oligarchs in the former Soviet Republics? To counties around the world who have allied themselves with Putin and emulated his authoritarian style? And then there is China.
